Hamad International Airport celebrated its 10th anniversary with a series of vibrant and engaging events

Hamad International Airport celebrated its tenth anniversary on May 15 with a range of exciting and entertaining events that delighted passengers traveling in and out as well as those making transfers. The celebrations, which had the slogan "Here's to the next 10 amazing years," included a number of joyous events spread across the large terminal, demonstrating Hamad International Airport's dedication to producing unforgettable experiences for its wide range of international visitors. 

Live cultural acts from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America captivated passengers at the ORCHARD, Concourse A and B, and Viale del Lusso, among other venues. A traditional sword dance called Ardha was performed close to Souq AlMatar, the recently opened Qatari souq at the airport, showcasing Qatari culture.

A lively environment was created by transforming iconic venues like the ORCHARD at the North Plaza and Lamp Bear at the South Plaza into a little music festival with live DJ performances. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by street musicians who performed while new travelers were greeted at the Arrivals Hall. 

Since opening in 2014, Hamad International Airport has focused on operational excellence, safety, and security while continuously improving the passenger experience. Having won "World's Best Airport Shopping" and "World's Best Airport," respectively, at the 2024 SKYTRAX World Airport Awards, it is still committed to embracing and rejoicing with travelers from all over the world.
