Hamad International Airport maintains its performance through the third quarter of 2023

NewsHamad International Airport (DOH) reports a significant 26.84% growth in passenger traffic compared to the same period last year, maintaining its performance until Q3 of 2023. This accomplishment is based on a track record of steady growth, which included increases of 24% and 44.5% in Q2 of this year. A total of 12,706,475 passengers passed through Hamad International Airport in Q3: 4,305,391 in July, 4,398,427 in August, and 4,002,657 in September.
The airport recorded 67,285 aircraft movements during this period, a 24.48% increase from the previous year, indicating that the skies were similarly busy. In July, there were 22,598 aircraft movements, in August there were 22,909, and in September there were 21,778.
A noteworthy rise of 3.38% in third-quarter cargo operations at Hamad International Airport resulted in a total of 590,725 tonnes of goods handled. The airport's importance in the worldwide logistics network is highlighted by these figures. In July, August, and September, it handled 194,268 tonnes, 195,773 tonnes, and 200,683 tonnes of freight.
This quarter, well-known hubs including Heathrow, Bangkok, Colombo, Cairo, and Manila were among the busiest travel destinations that helped Hamad International Airport succeed. Additionally, the airport saw a significant increase in the number of destinations it served, including Gatwick in the United Kingdom, Denpasar Bali in Indonesia, Al Qassem in Saudi Arabia, and Guangzhou and Hangzhou in China.
