HIA hosts plethora of activations and events for its passengers this football season

A plethora of exciting activations and events are being hosted by the Hamad International Airport (HIA) offering its millions of passengers have an unforgettable experience during this football season. It extends to its visitors the opportunity to be a part of Legacy of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Match day themed performances, a mosaic photo wall, a number of kids’ zones, fan zones and viewing zones are all te events that has ben included by HIA to keep their visitors entertained.

Interactive virtual activities like the AR football — an augmented reality interactive activity with La’eeb mascot reacting with the players — and a dedicated ‘try your teams’ jersey’ booth for football fans to pose for photos with their favourite team jersey and have them sent directly to their email — and more have been added to the list of events. Activations can be found in and around HIA’s expanded terminal, located in concourses A, B, and C. Fan and kids’ zones can be found across all concourses.  

The kids’ zones at HIA feature a variety of activities, including interactive drawings, face painting, a soccer ball pit and giant Lego set-ups. 

The mosaic photo wall, located next to the famous lamp bear at the centre of the airport’s south plaza, provides passengers with the opportunity to have their picture taken and become part of the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.  

Several activity booths have been installed at HIA’s north plaza, including WHO’s “Sport for Health” and “Bring the Moves” campaigns, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in Qatar,
