Kahramaa launched Innovation Week 2024 to promote a culture of creativity and innovation to enhance electricity and water services

Innovation Week 2024 is being held by Qatar General energy and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) in an effort to foster an innovative and creative culture that will improve the quality of water and energy services. The purpose of the four-day event, which takes place from April 21 to 24, is to encourage Kahramaa employees to embrace and develop ideas that improve productivity and performance in all divisions within the company.

Under the topic "Digital Creativity and Its Applications in the Fields of Electricity and Water," Kahramaa, represented by the Creativity, Innovation, and Scientific Research Incubator, is hosting the Innovation Week at the Rixos Gulf Hotel in Doha. April 21 is World Creativity and Innovation Day, and the initiative falls on that day. 

The corporation's directors and managers, as well as President of Kahramaa H E Eng Issa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, attended the inauguration event. Notably, prominent participants included international corporations like Microsoft and Google as well as important partners from the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council (QRDI).

The Incubator hopes to contribute significantly to the state's scientific research strategy. It seeks to be a helpful location for all researchers and innovators working in the corporation's specialized domains. Over the course of four days, Innovation Week offers a wide range of programming. Employees of Kahramaa are welcome to participate virtually or in person on the first day at the hotel. 

Speakers from Kahramaa, other organizations, and important partners including Microsoft Qatar, Google Qatar, and the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council (QRDI) will be available to inspire them. Furthermore, there will be supporting partners from Siemens, Schneider, Deloitte, EY, and Elev 8.

A presentation on Qatar's innovation strategy, conversations about artificial intelligence applications in the water and electricity sectors, and insights into contemporary technology are all planned for this event. Specifically concentrating on digital innovation and how it relates to Kahramaa's operational procedures, Microsoft and Google will be conducting workshops on the second and third days of Innovation Week for pre-selected Kahramaa workers. 

The Hackathon Competition, which takes place on the fourth day, is designed to encourage 100 gifted Kahramaa employees from different areas inside the company to develop a culture of creativity and innovation. Teams of participants will work together to provide concrete concepts that can be implemented in various operational procedures.
