NewsThe Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) intends to launch a smart home gadget to assist in lowering the amount of energy used by electric appliances, particularly air conditioners, which utilise 70% of the electricity used in homes during the summer.
Energy-saving measures are implemented automatically by smart home energy management systems, which are customised to match individual users' lifestyle requirements. They also let customers keep an eye on how much energy they consume and spot problems with performance.
A nationwide campaign to cut domestic energy and water use by five percent is being carried out by Kahramaa.
This effort seeks to achieve environmental sustainability in keeping with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Qatar National Vision 2030. It also aims to guarantee effective water and power use in Qatar and to increase community awareness.
