Mazayen Club launches Mazayen App; to digitize services related to owners of local and international camels

'Mazayen' App has been unveiled by the Ministry of Sports and Youth's Qatar Camel Mazayen Club and launched an electronic linkage to the Ministry of Municipality's platform. The launch is within the framework of continuous cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Municipality. The app aims to digitize all services related to the owners of local and international camels and to match the development of these heritage sports with the great development in the country's sports sector.

President of the Qatar Camel Mazayen Club Hamad Jaber Al Athba said that the application's launch was within the club's vision to develop all procedures related to this popular sport, to keep pace with the general development in the sports sector, and to raise the quality of services provided to owners and camel breeders.

Al Athba said the idea of electronic linkage aimed at developing procedures and shifting from paper-based transactions to digital service in line with the country's directions to facilitating procedures and digitizing services provided to the public. To develop it and address its defects in the best way, the application was tested during the Mazayen festival 2022, which was held by the club on the sidelines of the events accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, he added.

Director of Technical Affairs at the Qatar Camel Mazayen Club Ali Sultan Al Hamidi said linking the app to the electronic service of the Ministry of Municipality will facilitate procedures for owners, including registering camels, submitting requests for issuing entry and exit permits for camels, obtaining approvals and issuing health certificates, and issuing permits and printing them, stressing the role of the linkage service in the governance of procedures in accordance with the best practices in force.

Deputy Director of the Animal Wealth Department at the Ministry of Municipality Hussein Al Yahri said that the linking service will enhance the verification of the integrity of camel data and its conformity with the updated database of owners at the Qatar Camel Mazayen Club along with its conformity with the requirements and procedures of the Ministry of Municipality.
