Ministerial Decision to reduce fees by more than 90% for some services of Commerce Ministry will be implemented from July 11

Ministerial Decision No. 60, 2024, issued by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, will be implemented starting on Thursday, July 11, 2024, according to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The decision reduces costs for some services by more than 90%. 

This decision falls within the purview of the ministry's strategy, which aims to implement the goals of the Third National Development Strategy (2024–2030), which seeks to achieve sustainable economic growth and diversification in support of Qatar’s National Vision 2030, and to improve the investment environment by growing the Kingdom’s trade, industry, and business development sectors.

By creating an atmosphere that is conducive to investment and encourages both domestic and international initiatives, the ministerial decision to lower service fees seeks to bolster the nation's economy. 

Furthermore, it will boost entrepreneurs' and organisations' competitiveness, facilitate investors' access to lower-cost high-quality services, and inspire investors to grow their companies and take on more innovative and diversified projects. In a same vein, it will elevate the private sector's stature and inspire it to broaden its commercial ventures and support sustainable economic growth.
