Ministry of Education announced its decision to implement part-time work for public school employees

NewsPart-time work for public school employees will be implemented, as declared by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, to improve the work environment and give teachers and administrators the required flexibility. Cabinet Resolution No. (13) of 2021 serves as the foundation for this statement.
Academics and administrators in Qatar will have access to the part-time work program in accordance with guidelines and guidelines that have been sent to schools. This program will guarantee that work is scheduled in a way that aligns with the goals of the school and the students, without interfering with the learning process. This system won't be used in the month of Ramadan or during exams.
According to the Ministry, in order to be employed in the part-time system, a worker must be a citizen of Qatar, not have any administrative or leadership roles within the school, and have completed their probationary term with flying colors. In terms of the part-time schedule, it will be decided to have a teacher quorum of ten to twelve classes per week.
The Ministry further stated that all relevant authorities are expected to carry out this decision in line with the demands and work environment, and that it would go into effect at the start of the 2024–2025 academic year.
