Ministry of Education issues several directives to ensure the efficiency of nurseries, develop, and improve their services

A series of ministerial directives pertaining to all nurseries in the nation have been issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in an attempt to guarantee the effectiveness of nurseries, develop them, and raise the calibre of their services.

Classifying the different kinds of nurseries, defining the credentials and experience needed for their employees, setting the controls and conditions that have to be present at nursery headquarters, and figuring out the licencing costs for starting and maintaining nurseries were among the new choices.

The classification of nurseries as well as the education and experience requirements for their employees were laid down in the ministerial decisions. Three primary categories of nurseries were identified by the Ministry: Daycare Centres, which cater to the needs of working parents by offering childcare services; Care And Education Centres, which offer daycare services and teach children fundamental skills like language, reading, writing, and math; and Specialised Centres, which offer daycare and education services for children with learning difficulties and disabilities by implementing special programmes that help them develop their abilities.

In keeping with the Ministry's desire to offer specialised cadres and competencies in the fields of education and teaching, the experiences and qualifications that nursery workers must meet have also been identified. This will help to improve the quality of learning outcomes and raise the standards of care.

In order to improve children's well-being and foster the development of their physical, psychological, and social skills, the decisions also included the requirements and controls that must be met in nursery facilities. These contained the goal of giving children a safe and healthy environment, which included following all safety requirements and standards.

There will be a 1,000 Qatari Riyal cost for both granting and renewing nursery licences. The Ministry stated that nurseries will have six months to normalise their operations and conform to the guidelines outlined in the document.
