MoEHE has implemented several initiatives to enhance the skills of students during 2023-24 academic year

According to a top official, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) launched many programs to help students improve their skills during the 2023-24 academic year.

The efforts include a financial awareness program (Al Wai Al Mali), which aims to help students make healthy financial decisions. An initiative with Qatar Development Bank called 'I am a Pioneer' (Ana Raid) was also conducted, which is a training program for educating students about financial principles, according to Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at MoEHE Maha Al Ruwaili. 

She stated that the program aims to empower and nurture innovative entrepreneurs among government school pupils by providing the required training and supervision in order to support entrepreneurial ideas and instill an entrepreneurial culture in them.

The Ministry, in partnership with Injaz Qatar, a non-profit organization, conducted the "Mubadara" competition, which aims to have students design investment projects with a precise financial plan." remarked Al Ruwaili. 

Mubadara is the climax of a six-month curriculum in which student teams are given the opportunity to conceptualize, construct, and run a genuine business under the supervision of professionals from prominent businesses in Qatar.

MoEHE is also working with the National Cyber Security Agency to increase student knowledge of cybersecurity principles. 

Al Ruwaili emphasized the importance of teaching foreign languages in schools. The English language is taught from kindergarten to grade 12. The French language is taught as an alternative. The focus also remains on German and Japanese languages, and Chinese language has also been included.
