MoEHE launched a number of literary events and competitions to promote reading and literary skills among students

In order to encourage students of all ages to read and to hone their literary skills, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) organized a number of literary events and competitions for the summer of 2024. Among the activities is the "Summer Activities" program, which promotes reading among kids while fostering their motor and creative skills through sports, physical labor, outdoor exploration, and other activities based on books from the e-library system's free library.

The "Mobile Library," which offers a wide variety of diverse resources that meet students' interests and provide interactive activities, and the "Summer of Reading" competition, which encourages students to read as many diverse books as possible during the summer holidays through the "Maktabati" website on the electronic library system, are also included in the activities.

According to Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the MoEHE Maha Zaid Al Rawli, these initiatives help to develop a passion of reading in kids and young people and contribute to the development of an informed and imaginative generation.
