Instead of requiring you to physically visit police stations, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has made it easy to report lost items online through its Metrash smartphone application.
You must first download and register using the Metrash app on your phone before you can report your lost stuff in this manner. Then, simply follow these steps:
- Enter the necessary details on your end (lost item name, serial number, and description), being careful not to make any mistakes.
- If you have a picture of the item, you can also attach it.
- You can add as many lost items as you like, so whenever you're finished, click "Add new Loss" to add the item.
- The next step allows you to manually enter the location or choose the approximate location of the missing item using an integrated digital map.
- Additionally, you can note the date of loss, write a description of the area, and select which security center you want to report to and pick up the lost item from.
- To submit your report, check the acknowledgment and pledge box when finished, then click "Register."
When your belongings are located, the authorities will trace them and let you know. Await their formal update, please.
