MoL and QCDC introduced the ‘My Career - My Future’ summer camp for Qatari secondary school students

In order to foster vocational awareness, investigate economic sectors, and aid in career planning, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) and the Qatar Career Development Centre (QCDC) collaborated with private sector partners to launch the "My Career - My Future" summer camp for secondary school students in Qatar. The event will continue till Thursday, August 8. 

The Ministry of Labour is training and qualifying secondary school pupils to become engaged and contributing members of society through the "My Career - My Future" camp. The purpose of the camp is to familiarise students with the various career paths and competencies required in the private sector. 

It is in line with the Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030, which emphasises building a robust national workforce and investing in human resources to further Qatar's sustainable economic growth. By allowing secondary school students to investigate jobs in a variety of private sector fields, including banking, real estate, energy, health, tourism, media, and more, the camp links academic and educational outcomes with the Ministry of Labor's initiatives to promote Qatarization of the labour market. 

Students will take part in a range of training workshops and specialised career advising and counselling sessions over the course of the five-day summer camp in order to assist them in creating and honing strategic plans for their future trajectories. assistance. Along with possibilities to create strong networks with specialised specialists for career assistance, they will also receive training in career management and sustainability through continual lifetime learning. 

The goal of the summer camp is to give high school students excellent instruction and real-world experience, as well as to help them make the most of their summer break and teach them valuable skills for the job market and a strong work ethic.
