MoL’s ‘Ouqoul’ platform aims to streamline the recruitment process and help newly graduated students find jobs

The first stage of the Ministry of Labour's (MoL) "Ouqoul" platform, an effort to increase the number of opportunities for foreign graduates from Qatari colleges to work for private sector organisations, is about to start. The portal seeks to expedite the hiring process and assist recently graduated students in locating positions that align with their professional goals and skill sets.

There will be many phases to the introduction of the Ouqoul platform. Eng. Munira Al Shraim, Director of MoL's Projects Department at the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Expatriate Labour Affairs, stated in an interview with Qatar TV that colleges, commercial businesses, and recently graduated international students will all have access to the soon-to-be-launched platform's link. According to Al Shraim, the platform would assist foreign graduates of Qatari colleges in breaking into the local labour market for the commercial sector.

The "Ouqoul" platform is a component of the ministry's larger plan to increase worker productivity and harness capabilities. It is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and supports initiatives to advertise and hire the country's labour force in the private sector.

The principal aims of the platform are to provide an intuitive environment, augment career prospects for international graduates from Qatari universities, and enhance the effectiveness of their recruiting procedures in general.

The platform will have features such as job posting capabilities, powerful dashboard for administrators, identity verification systems, and search functionality.

Improved AI functionalities will be included to automatically review applications, match applicants to open positions, and offer chatbots for assistance and questions. Three unique interfaces tailored to institutions, commercial enterprises, and expatriate graduates will be available on the Ouqoul platform.

The platform will allow international students to search for job opportunities in Qatar's private sector that match their skills, create personal profiles using their university IDs, generate skill-based resumes using the platform's AI tools, and apply directly through the platform.

The platform will help private sector businesses find the best individuals by enabling them to post job openings, find qualified applicants, and handle quick recruiting procedures all in one location.
