Movement of trucks, buses with more than 25 passengers will be restricted within Doha city during rush hour

During rush hour, trucks and buses carrying more than 25 passengers are not allowed to move around the city of Doha without a permission. In the interim, these cars are not permitted to enter 22 February Street at any time. 

The General Directorate of Traffic once again implemented a limitation on the movement of trucks and buses with more than 25 passengers within Doha city on Friday, May 31, 2024, forbidding their entry without a permission. The regulation was first published in November 2023 and was implemented in conjunction with appropriate authorities. 

A route map that limits these vehicles' access to the city between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. was released. 

Through the website or the Metrash2 application, exception permits for trucks and buses carrying more than 25 passengers can be obtained by following the steps and choices listed below: (1) Traffic; (2) Automobiles (3) Licenses for trucks (4) Send in the application. 

A letter from the project management outlining the type of permit, a work contract with Ashghal or the Public Works Authority, a copy of the company's registration, and a copy of a valid vehicle registration are among the documents required to apply for an exception permit on the ban.
