NCQAA has launched its inaugural round of institutional accreditation process for higher education institutions in Qatar
26 Oct 2023
NewsThe first cycle of institutional accreditation for higher education institutions in the State of Qatar has been started by the National Committee for Qualifications and Academic Accreditation (NCQAA). The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) and Lusail University were the first two higher education institutions in the area to go through the institutional accreditation procedure in this inaugural cycle.
Since its establishment in October 2022, the NCQAA has been working hard to create institutional accreditation standards, guidelines, and practises. This effort has continued throughout the year. These are going to be implemented in the current school year.
To help higher education institutions around the nation create their own in-depth examinations of their academic institutions, NCQAA has created a thorough handbook that outlines the five requirements. This is a critical stage in the accrediting process for institutions.
Cabinet Decision No. (12) of 2022 created NCQAA and said that it would have broad supervision over the National Qualifications Framework and revise it as needed to conform to State policies. In addition, NCQAA is in charge of accrediting degrees and certificates awarded by regional institutions of higher learning, guaranteeing that these credentials adhere to quality assurance standards that align them with the National Qualifications Framework, and encouraging adherence to these standards through the academic accreditation programme that NCQAA created.
