New, ultra-modern ‘Qsuite Next Gen” unveiled by Qatar Airways at Farnborough International Airshow 2024

The new, ultra-modern "Qsuite Next Gen" was introduced by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, at Farnborough International Airshow 2024. The unveiling took place in the presence of Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, the acting president of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, and His Excellency Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the minister of transportation for Qatar. The world's first AI digital human cabin crew, Sama, was unveiled by Engr. Al-Meer to the Qsuite Next Gen at the Qatar Airways Discover Lounge. 

Qsuite Next Gen's improved features were showcased which include completely configurable Quad Suites, Companion Suites in window aisles, 4K OLED movable in-flight entertainment (IFE) panels, and more room and privacy in each suite. With its innovative features, the game-changing Qsuite Next Gen seeks to support all professionals, friends, and families in achieving a conscious work-life balance. First of its kind for any airline worldwide, the new Quad Suite now has moveable 4K OLED Panasonic Astrova IFE panels. For up to four people in the Quad Suite and up to two people in the Companion Suite, the displays may be moved to the side to create the biggest social and work area in the sky. Improved amenities for rest and leisure, including more room for communal dining—a traditional feature of Qatari culture—and more privacy thanks to higher, electronically movable partitions being offered. The new Quad Suite, which has bigger lie-flat and double beds, will also have a separate "Make My Bed" function and the 5-star Qatar Airways turn-down service. 

The Qsuite Next Gen offers an extensive range of customisation choices, from ambient lighting to privacy settings with its enhanced touchscreen Passenger Control Units, as it adopts new technologies to enhance passenger convenience and connectivity.

By 2025, Qatar Airways' Boeing B777-9 aircraft will be equipped with the Qsuite Next Gen.
