
During the auspicious month of Ramadan, the Old Doha Port will host a number of activities, including the traditional Garangao night, the Throwback Food Festival, the Ramadan Cannon, and Musahar Al Mina's nighttime walks.
At Mina Park across the Containers Yard, the Ramadan Cannon, will be fired every day to signal the hour of iftar.
The Throwback Food Festival, organized in association with Qatar Tourism, is returning to the Old Doha Port and will include a carefully chosen assortment of regional eateries. This celebration will take place in the Containers Yard during the month of Ramadan.
At night, the Musahar Al Mina will wander around the Old Doha Port to remind tourists that it is suhoor time. In order to add to the genuine ambiance of the Ramadan evenings at the port, this custom will be brought back throughout the month of Ramadan, with Musahar wearing traditional clothing.
As the primary sponsor, the Old Doha Port will also hold the third "Ekbes" Beach Volleyball Championship on the venue located north of the port district.
Garangao night, one of the most important family gatherings during Ramadan, will be celebrated in the port.
A special "Dinner in the Sky" experience for iftar or suhoor at a height of 50 meters, with breathtaking views of the Doha skyline, will also be available to visitors.
The "Wada'a Ramadan" event, a well-liked festival where port visitors say goodbye to the holy month, will take place in the Old Doha Port over four nights as the month of Ramadan comes to an end.
