'Ouqoul' platform launched by MoL to provide exceptional services for graduates from Qatar universities and companies in private sector

The 'Ouqoul' platform is an artificial intelligence-driven platform of a new project by the Ministry of Labour in partnership with Google Cloud and Mannai InfoTech. It will offer top-notch services to enterprises in commercial sector and graduates from Qatari universities. With the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and Google Cloud, the platform can expedite the hiring process and help students locate employment that aligns with their career goals.

It aims to provide an easily navigable platform and optimise the effectiveness of hiring procedures in general. A sophisticated dashboard for administrators, job posting capabilities, identity verification systems, and search features are just a few features built within the platform. Better AI capabilities will also be incorporated to handle resumes automatically, connect applicants with open positions, and provide chatbots for assistance.

The 'Ouqoul' platform will have three unique user interfaces tailored to requirements of various user groups - universities, commercial businesses, and foreign university graduates living in Qatar. After graduating from local universities, international students can use the platform to search for job opportunities in private sector of Qatar, create personal profiles using their university IDs, skill-based resumes using AI tools on the platform, and apply directly from the platform.

The platform's personality test will assist in determining the best employment options for them. Graduates can also assess companies and can use special tools to connect with employers. They can also learn new skills in the learning centre, conduct online interviews, negotiate, and sign contracts through unified portal of the Ministry of Labour.

 Given its planned integration with Labour Market Information System, "Ouqoul" represents a significant information resource for Qatari universities. Moreover, the Ministry of Labour would provide them with quick e-services.
