Qatar competes to improve its place in global logistics rankings through significant strategies

NewsBy making significant investments in strategic sectors, such as port expansion and partnerships with other ports internationally, Qatar is vying to improve its place in the global logistics rankings.
According to a recent PWC report, the industry is resilient this year because Qatar is leading the way in infrastructure projects, such as the improvement of land borders at Abu Samra and the expansion of Hamad Port and Hamad International Airport, to enable safe and efficient trade flows.
The initiatives have strengthened Qatar's logistical capacity and drawn major shipping lines and airlines, according to industry analysts.
Additionally, they explained that the nation's priority was on fostering regional integration through initiatives like the "Friendship Bridge" between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and a train connection to improve connectivity and access to markets throughout the GCC. This has strengthened Qatar's logistical capacity by drawing in major shipping lines and airlines.
Along with improving connectivity and market access throughout the region, it has also concentrated on strengthening its regional integration through projects like the proposals for a Friendship Bridge with Bahrain and a rail link with Saudi Arabia.
