Qatar Development Bank launched GEM–Qatar National Report 2023-24, highlighting numerous achievements within Qatar’s entrepreneurial ecosystem

NewsGlobal Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and the Qatar Development Bank (QDB) jointly released the GEM–Qatar National Report 2023–2024. The London Business School and Babson College in the USA coordinated a global consortium of academics that produced the yearly survey in partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. It offers insightful analysis and statistics that can be compared to other nations in the area and beyond.
With a rise in the Established Business Ownership rate (EBO) and a rise in Total Early-Stage Entrepreneurial Activity (TEA), the study showed a notable increase in entrepreneurial activity in Qatar, especially in the consumer services industry.
According to the National Entrepreneurship Context Index (NECI), which ranks Qatar third in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and fifth worldwide, the research highlighted several accomplishments within the nation's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As per the research, social and environmental values are highly valued by Qatari entrepreneurs, who placed their country third in the area for their significance in decision-making. A bright future for entrepreneurship in Qatar was also indicated by the report's significant growth projections for employment and exports to foreign markets.
