Qatar has become the most open country in the world in terms of visa facilitation

H E Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism (QT), stated that as of the most recent count, 102 nations have been given visas on arrival, making Qatar the most visa-friendly country in the world concerning visa facilitation.

Addressing the 2024 Global Exhibitions Day (GED) yesterday, which was organised by QT in collaboration with UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Al Kharji pointed out that one of the keyways Qatar is achieving its goal of being the Middle East's fastest-growing tourism destination by 2030 is through its dedication to organising prestigious international events.

Sheikh Jabor bin Yousef bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of the Arab Union for International Exhibitions & Conferences (AUIEC), Naji El Haddad, Regional Director of UFI, and other dignitaries and business leaders attended the event, which was the first-ever GED celebration in the Middle East.

The Chairman of QT stated that MICE, or meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, has emerged as a key factor propelling the expansion of the tourist industry in Qatar, a sector that the country acknowledges as essential to achieving its strategic objectives.
