A recent analysis by Fitch Solutions claims that the industry is about to enter a "new phase of growth," with 5.3 million tourists predicted to arrive annually, up 3.5% from the projected 5.1 million in 2024.
This would be the most tourists to ever arrive in the nation, breaking the previous record of 2.94 million in 2015. Due to sustained demand from important source markets including Saudi Arabia, India, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Qatar has seen a sharp increase in worldwide interest since hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Strong public and business sector initiatives to raise Qatar's visibility in the world travel arena further contribute to the increase.
By the conclusion of the projected period, 5.7 million arrivals are anticipated, with an average annual growth rate of 2.4%, according to Fitch experts, who predict that this increasing trend would continue through 2029. Growing numbers of tourists from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East are expected to drive this expansion.
A key role is being played by the nation's strategic initiatives and ongoing marketing activities.
