Qatar Museums announced an open call to early-career artists for its latest initiative Temporary Public Art

Qatar Museums has released an open call for early-career artists to take part in Temporary Public Art, its new project. The chosen artist will have the opportunity to have their idea commissioned through this special programme, and their artwork will be shown at Liwan Design Studios and Labs.

Submissions must adhere to the specified requirements, artists must be highly skilled in order to carry out the ideas they have in mind, and mentorship is acceptable in order to guarantee a project's successful conclusion. Submissions may encompass installations, sculptures, or mixed-media pieces, with the requirement that all artwork be produced locally. Here, students can submit suggestions alone or in groups.

Each project has a maximum budget of QR 30,000, and the selected artist will work closely with a curator throughout.

Liwan Design Studios and Labs, housed in a historic building in the heart of Msheireb, provides cutting-edge facilities for a range of design disciplines, including digital photography, leatherworking, ceramics, and prototyping, to enable designers to advance their work and support Qatar's creative community.
