Qatar National Library app enhanced services by offering effortless access to a vast range of ebooks and audiobooks

Since its inception in 2023, the Qatar National Library (QNL) app has significantly improved library services by providing easy access to a wide selection of the library's digital resources, including ebooks and audiobooks. According to QNL Executive Director Tan Huism, the app's 56,000 downloads in less than a year and a half demonstrate QNL's dedication to innovation and user-centric design to address the changing demands of its members.

More than 3.1 million physical books have been rented and more than 29 million digital items have been downloaded since November 2017, demonstrating the high level of interest in QNL's offline and online resources and services over time.

Additionally, the Library has had over 4.3 million in in-person visits, with over a million in 2023 setting a record. More than 1.3 million unique users have accessed the library's other digital platforms, and over 215,000 people have visited the Qatar Digital Library.

Following the COVID-19 epidemic, the Library hosted 655 events in 2021 alone, including 614 online events that drew over 28,000 attendees, demonstrating the growing momentum behind the move to digital media.
