NewsQatar National Library has received recognition as one of the world's most beautiful libraries and is now listed on AD Middle East's exclusive list of the 17 most beautiful libraries—a rare distinction for architectural wonders. The fourth-ranked Qatar National Library in "The 17 Most Beautiful Libraries in the World" list has been called "mesmerising."
The open-plan interior of the Rem Koolhas-designed Qatar National Library is encased in a shell-like structure that looks like two sheets of paper that are torn apart and folded diagonally at the corners. The building looks visually arresting and distinctive because of this idea.
Modern technology and environmentally friendly elements are included into the building. For example, the roof of the library is built to reduce solar heat gain while permitting natural light to enter, resulting in an interior space that is both cozy and energy efficient.
The top three locations in AD Middle East are the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; the Old Library of Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland; and the Library of Strahov Monastery in Prague, Czech Republic.
The renowned worldwide journal "Architectural Digest" has a regional version called "AD Middle East." It focuses on lifestyle, interior design, and architecture in the Middle East. Dedicated to the preferences and fashions of the Middle East, AD Middle East publishes essays, interviews, and photographs of opulent residences, avant-garde architecture, and chic interior decor.
In addition to serving as a library, the Qatar National Library is a cultural icon that represents Qatar's dedication to innovation, knowledge, and education.
The library's interior has several aesthetically striking places, such as large reading rooms, spaces for exhibitions, and specialist research facilities. The arrangement is meant to promote communication and learning while keeping things open and approachable.
Overall, the architecture of the Qatar National Library is notable for its technical inventiveness and aesthetic appeal, as well as for its cultural relevance and embodiment of Qatar's goals for intellectual and educational growth.
