With a convincing 92-71 victory over Kazakhstan on Friday night at the Jekpe-Jek Saraiy, Qatar formally guaranteed their spot in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025.
The Gulf squad grabbed charge of the match early on and then broke away in the second chapter, never to be seen again as they secured their spot in the famous continental showpiece after eight long years.
Their most recent qualification was in the 2017 tournament in Lebanon, when they placed 13th out of 16 teams, ultimately losing to the new Australia.
They'll be attending the Asia Cup for the eleventh time.
