Qatar Tourism’s latest statistics revealed an 18% increase in international travellers visiting the country in April

According to the most recent data provided by Qatar Tourism, the number of foreign visitors to the nation in April increased by 18% over the same period the previous year, or 382,000 visitors as opposed to 324,000 in 2023. 

With the exception of March, the country has consistently seen an increase in foreign arrivals since the year's beginning. With 703,000 passengers arriving in January, the nation had a 106% increase in travelers from 2023. With 596,000 travelers arriving in February, there was a 53% rise. Nonetheless, March showed a minor decline with 329,000 arrivals, or a 24% decline. Over two million foreign visitors had arrived in Qatar as of April of this year.

Since 2021, there has been a consistent increase in the number of arrivals; in 2021, 611,000 visitors came to the nation, 2.5 million in 2022, and 4 million in 2023, surpassing all previous yearly visitor totals and creating new records. 

Saudi Arabia is first among the top 10 nations sending tourists to Qatar, accounting for 28% of the country's total (526,000 visitors). India comes in second with 7% (150,000 visitors), while Bahrain, Germany, Oman, Kuwait, and the United Kingdom send 4% apiece. Italy contributes 2%, the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates 3% apiece.
