Registration for Katara International Arabian Horse Festival has started

The registration for the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF) to be held in Februar, 2023, has started and will continue until December 25 for individuals who wish their horses to compete.

Horses for Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2023 can be registered through the festival website as stated by Katara.  Is the third edition of the festival which will run from February 1 to 11. Interested individuals who want to take part at the festival may register via visit kiahf.qa.

Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, said that authentic Arabian horses are symbols of “strength, originality and pride. A wonderful 3rd edition that will include the most beautiful events and the finest exceptional competitions on the grounds of Katara,” it wrote on its social media accounts.

Just like this year’s edition, it will feature three competitions: Arabian Peninsula Horse Show running for the second year which was first introduced in 2022, from February 1 to 4; Arabian Horse Auction, February 6; and Title Show, February 8 to 11. Meanwhile, Katara has also announced that registration for Poetry competition, also under KIAHF will run until December 31. The contest is open for everyone inside and outside Qatar, and the number of verses for the poem should be between 10 to 15.

KIAHF aims to support Qatar’s rich equestrian heritage and promote it worldwide. 

It is organised by Katara, Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, and Qatar Equestrian Federation to highlight the uniqueness of purebred Arabian horses at the various local, regional, and international platforms by hosting a Title Show of magnificent Arabians. 

It also plays a key role in encouraging owners of purebred Arabians in Qatar and inspires them to improve their breeding programmes and nurture the beauty of the breed.

The second edition which ran from February 2 to 11 at Katara Esplanade saw the participation of 11 countries.
