Regulatory directive issued for operational age of vehicles that use Abu Samra border crossing

A regulation regarding the operating age of vehicles transporting passengers and commodities via the Abu Samra border crossing was released by the Ministry of Interior. 

The instruction states that buses and taxis that are more than five years old and have been in operation cannot cross the land border. 

The MOI made the following announcement on social media: "Vehicles that are more than five (5) years old as of the date of manufacture are not allowed to cross the border via the Abu Samra border crossing, in compliance with the regulatory directives concerning the transport of goods by trucks and the transport of passengers by buses and taxis via land routes. Additionally, buses that are operating more than ten (10) years after their manufacture date are not permitted to enter the border at the Abu Samra border crossing."
