NewsThe Qatar National Convention Centre will host the second Gulf Housing Week, which will focus on a number of social housing-related issues, such as the use of ecologically friendly building practices. The Ministry of Social Development and Family in Qatar is organizing the four-day event, which takes place from May 13 to May 16. More than forty speakers are scheduled to attend.
According to Khalid Al Kubaisi, the ministry's assistant director of the Citizens Housing Department, "the conference will discuss social housing within the framework of ensuring the provision of adequate housing for everyone, easy financing, and state support to low-income people for decent housing."
In an interview with Qatar TV, he stated that creating creative financing schemes for social housing will also be a key component of the event.
The Gulf Housing Week aims to offer GCC government agencies a forum to come together, share knowledge, and map out a revolutionary course for family welfare and sustainable social development. It also acts as a platform for discussion and cooperation between important parties, such as legislators, business leaders, and creative thinkers who prioritize housing and communal well-being.
