Snoonu has earned the ‘Best CSR Initiative in the Tech Sector’ award at the 2024 Qatar CSR Awards Ceremony

The top tech startup in Qatar, Snoonu, won the 2024 Qatar CSR Awards Ceremony, which took place in conjunction with the Qatar CSR Summit, for "Best CSR Initiative in the Tech Sector." 

In the Technology Sector, Snoonu distinguished itself from the other 24 categories with its noteworthy 'No Riders Under the Sun' program. Launched in June 2021, this initiative puts delivery riders' safety and well-being first throughout the hot summers in Qatar. 

By limiting bike deliveries between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and offering air-conditioned vehicles, Snoonu makes sure that its employees work in a temperature-controlled setting, reducing the possibility of heat exhaustion and sunstroke.

The influence of the project extended beyond Snoonu, since comparable regulations were incorporated into law by the Ministry of Labour in July 2022. 

This acknowledgment highlights Snoonu's steadfast dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its congruence with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. With its commitment to integrating the SDGs into its operations, Snoonu is a leading example for the tech sector, demonstrating how companies can effect real change and tackle global issues.
