NewsAs the first performer from the Gulf region to present at the esteemed 77th Cannes Film Festival, world-renowned Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan created history by attending the star-studded Trophée Chopard official supper.
At the 24th edition of Trophée Chopard, which was hosted by Caroline Scheufele and this year's Trophée Chopard "Godmother," actress and producer Demi Moore, the celebrated musician from Doha delivered a ground-breaking performance.
Dana's captivating voice enthralled the audience at the Trophée Chopard as she sang songs from her album "Indigo," including "Solstice" and "Onyx," with the help of violinist Maias Alyamani and soloists from the Cannes National Symphonic Orchestra. Also performed by the orchestra were her instrumental works "Chromium," "Stillness," and the world premiere of "Caroline." Dana wrote the last piece as a tribute to Caroline Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, for her vision and inventiveness. Dana said, "I want my music to reflect the spirit of innovation and elegance that Caroline embodies."
