As there are only 100 days till Qatar hosts the Asian Cup 2023, the AFC General Secretary, Datuk Seri Windsor John, Mansoor Al Ansari, LOC Managing Director, Jassim Al Jassim, LOC CEO, Hani Ballan, LOC Board Member, and other members of the LOC senior management team attended a special celebration in Doha, Qatar. The tournament tagline was also unveiled at the ceremony: "Hayya Asia." The tagline, which translates to "Let's Go Asia," represents the tournament's vibrancy and uniting spirit.
Nine stadiums will host 51 matches as Qatar prepares to host the tournament for the third time, after successfully hosting it twice previously, in 1988 and 2011. It will be held between January 12 and February 10, 2024.
The host country will be the reigning champions in this edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the 18th in its historic history. The event will build on the legacy established by the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which was held for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East just a year ago.
Several fan events are scheduled throughout the duration of the tournament. Because Qatar is small, fans and players will be able to remain in the same hotel during the competition and simply travel between tournament locations thanks to a strong rail infrastructure and a contemporary road network. Tajikistan will be making their debut participation in the Asian Cup, while Hong Kong, China will be making their return after a 68-year hiatus.
