The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) will celebrate the 16th edition of the Education Excellence Day Award on Wednesday, under the generous patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Education Excellence Day Award honours outstanding students in various educational stages and academic fields, with 64 out of 261 applicants winning the award this year.
The Education Excellence Award includes eight categories: the Education Excellence Award for primary school students, which was won by 21 students; the Education Excellence Award for preparatory school students, which was won by eight students; the Education Excellence Award for secondary school students, which was won by four students; the distinguished teacher award, which was won by two teachers; the Education Excellence Award for university graduates, which was won by 24 university students; the Education Excellence Award for holders of a master’s degree, which was won by two students; the Education Excellence Award for PhD holders, which was won by two PhD holders; the Education Excellence Award for the distinguished scientific research for the secondary stage, which was won by a student.
MoEHE launched the 2023 Education Excellence Day Award documentary exhibition in Building No 10 of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), which will last until Thursday.
The exhibition will introduce the award’s criteria and how to apply for it. It will also highlight the award’s history since 2007, including the number of honorees, their photos, and the medals and certificates they received.
