36th edition of the Doha Theatrical Festival set to commence on May 25 and will continue until June 4

EventThe Ministry of Culture is organizing the much awaited 36th edition of the Doha Theatrical Festival, which will debut this Saturday and run through June 4, 2024, at the esteemed U VENUE Theater for the first time! A robust mix of events and performances is promised by the festival.
Ten captivating theatrical productions are among the many exciting attractions of the festival, which is arranged by the Theater Affairs Center in association with the Qatar Events Center. Of these, seven will be produced by private creative production organizations, and three will be showcased by renowned Qatari national theater groups, Qatar, Doha, and Al-Watan. Several facets of Qatari theater history will be revealed in the grand finale.
The festival's main goal is reviving the theatrical landscape. It does this through supporting and promoting notable local theater experiences, as well as by displaying outstanding performances that revolve around varied topics through academic and creative seminars.
The festival aims to foster a committed group of theater aficionados and establish deeper ties between artists from various theatrical disciplines. The festival's dedication to advancing quality and creativity in the theater is shown by the Ministry of Culture's recent declaration, which supports these goals.
Ten applied seminars with well-known critics and experts who will evaluate the plays on display will be held during the festival. Discussions will take place after each production.
