News EventThe 8th Mahaseel Festival, which is taking place in Doha's Katara Southern neighbourhood, goes beyond just a simple fair selling regional plants, fruits, veggies, and flowers. According to an official, it has developed into a cultural platform highlighting Qatar's agricultural legacy and inventiveness to the general population. Yousef Khaled Al Khulaifi, Director of the Ministry of Municipality's Agricultural Affairs Department, praised the festival's partnership with the Qatari Farmers Forum and emphasised its role in advertising, promoting, and showcasing regional goods.
Over thirty-one local farms, ten nurseries that specialise in decorative plants and flower seedlings, five retail establishments, and a honey market are all participating in this year's Mahaseel Festival. With 28 local farms, six businesses selling poultry, meat, and dairy products, and nurseries participating, this is a huge rise from the previous year.
The festival's display of high-quality regional goods, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers, has drawn attention from outside travelers interested in learning more about Qatar's food and farming scene. Apart from the agricultural treats, the festival also provides a variety of culinary items including dates and honey products, which makes it more appealing to foodies.
The Mahaseel Festival has become a signature occasion, representing Qatar's dedication to exhibiting the best regional food and giving locals and visitors alike access to the freshest products, sourced just a few hours away from the fields.
The event will be open to guests from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. till April 15th. Reachable via Metro, taxi, or personal automobile.
