Al Markhiya Gallery has opened the "Paths 2" exhibition, the second part of the gallery's previous exhibition at the Qatar Art Center.
The exhibition, which runs until October 23, includes 32 paintings by artists from various creative schools, including Abdullah Al Asad from Syria, Hosni Abu Karim and Said Al Saidi from Jordan, and Salem Matkur from Iraq.
In a separate statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), artist Salem Matkur said: “The exhibition is one of the experiences of Al Markhiya Gallery where four artists from different Arab countries will participate in the second part of the exhibition. Participating artists come up with the idea to make paintings in watercolor about the environment of their countries.
He pointed out his desire to address the Qatari environment in his paintings in order to express the beauty of nature, so he used landscapes from the secret region of Qatar with unique composition.
Al Markhiya Gallery opened the exhibition “Paths 1” from May 20 to July 5, presenting a collection of artworks by four Arab artists from different creative schools, including Faraj Daham from Qatar, Mosahem Al Nasiri and Rashid Diab from Iraq. From Sudan.
