Arabic AI Large Language Model - Fanar was launched during the inauguration of World Summit AI

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani launched the Arabic Artificial Intelligence Large Language Model (LLM) Fanar yesterday at the World Summit AI (WSAI) opening ceremony at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

Several Their Excellencies the Ministers and high-ranking officials attended the meeting with the topic "Putting Humanity at the Heart of AI." The two-day event brought together leaders, innovators, and AI enthusiasts to share ideas and help influence the future of AI.

Fanar is a novel approach designed to provide a comprehensive grasp of Arabic in all of its facets, including a variety of dialects and cultural manifestations. Its vast library of over 300 billion words and over a trillion Arabic phonetic segments allows for the creative generation, writing, summarization, rephrasing, and explanation of texts with remarkable efficiency. Its sophisticated technical architecture, which has seven billion parameters, guarantees quick and flexible data processing.

This ambitious project aims to provide the Arab community with cutting-edge resources that honor our cultural identity and help realize Qatar's National Vision 2030.
