NewsThe registration period for the forthcoming Hajj season will start at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, according to a news conference held today by the Ministry of Endowments (AWQAF) and Islamic Affairs. In accordance with the following conditions, residents and citizens can register until October 20, 2023.
- Residents and citizens will have to register on the Hajj website.
- Citizens of Qatar must be at least 16 years old, and a maximum of five companions may accompany them.
- Gulf nationals are required to be at least 18 years old, have a Qatar ID, and may bring one partner.
- Residents may bring one companion and must be at least 40 years old with a 10-year Qatari residence record.
According to the statement, an electronic sorting and approval procedure was to start in November after the registration period ended on October 20, 2023. The Hajj quota for Qatar is 4400 pilgrims, irrespective of nationality, it was further highlighted, provided that the prerequisites are satisfied.
