NewsThe Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) is eager to implement the best international practices in the fields of government development and civil service, so yesterday it signed a cooperation agreement with Mada Assistive Technology Centre to improve digital access and create a comprehensive work environment that benefits all employees, especially those with disabilities.
Yaqoub Saleh Al Ishaq, the CGB's in-charge of Civil Service Affairs, stated that the scope of work is extremely important because of its part in enhancing digital access through the adoption of the National Employment Platforms (Kawader and Mawared). These platforms make it easier for people with disabilities to access government services and give them the technological support they need to do their jobs effectively and without difficulty.
According to him, this collaboration will help increase the capabilities of the workforce by educating human resources staff members in government organisations about the best ways to hire and assist individuals with disabilities and by encouraging an all-encompassing work environment that embraces best practices in government development and civil service.
By enabling the use of assistive technology, the agreement seeks to empower employees with disabilities in the workplace and enhance digital access and use of digital platforms for the CGB.
