NewsThe United Arab Emirates is reportedly considering ideas to make the visa process for Qatar and other Gulf neighbours simpler, according to a report by Bloomberg. Border crossings are not subject to a visa for nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council nations. However, a visa is frequently still required for foreign citizens to enter or exit the GCC.
According to Bloomberg, on September 26, 2023, UAE Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri stated at a conference in Abu Dhabi that a new visa system being proposed would allow foreign citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to travel freely within nations that make up the bloc.
