Commuters urged by transport providers to use public transport and associated facilities

Travelers have been urged by transport companies to use public transit and related services.   Additionally, the Ministry of Transportation has urged commuters to use the "Park and Ride" service as of tomorrow, when all public and private organizations resume operations following the Eid holiday. 

Lusail, Education City, Al Wakra, and Al Qassar are the four Doha Metro stations that are close to the Park & Ride facility.  According to the Ministry's social media accounts, "People using private vehicles can park their vehicles at Park and Ride parking spaces that are available at Qatar's most vibrant areas and move around using the public transit system."

One of the major initiatives of the Ministry of Transportation's Public Bus Infrastructure Programme is the Park and Ride. In order to encourage car owners to get to and from their destinations faster and more affordably, it offers free parking places close to Metro stations.

Qatar Rail has also emphasised the importance of its services from the Hamad International Airport as a result of the large number of tourists arriving and returning from their vacations.

 As a reminder, tourists arriving at Hamad International Airport may get to important locations in Doha by using the T1 Station at the airport, according to Qatar Rail.
