DAAM in agreement with Katara to finance the 15th Edition of Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival - Marmi 2024

The 15th Edition of the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2024) will be financed by a financial agreement between the Cultural Village Foundation Katara and the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM).

This agreement represents the joint-stock firms listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange and the DAAM Fund's developmental and effective role in supporting cultural activities in the nation in compliance with the goals that have been set out and the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The agreement also acknowledges Katara's and the DAAM Fund's groundbreaking work in promoting inherited cultural practices and teaching the next generation to uphold them.

Since falconry was added to the World Heritage List in 2011 and preserved as a patriotic sport passed down from fathers and grandfathers, as well as its significance in Arabic literature and Arab folklore, particularly that of the Gulf and Qatar, the Marmi International Festival is regarded as one of the most significant events hosted by the Qatar Al-Qannas Association.

It is noteworthy that the Social and Sport Contribution Fund, which was founded in 2010, has provided the groundwork for several important initiatives and projects in the social, cultural, and athletic domains.
