DFI’s Cinemas Under the Stars program features three animated films from October 17 to 19

This weekend in the Museum of Islamic Art Park, the Doha Film Institute's Cinemas Under the Stars program will feature three animated films.

Song of The Sea (2014)

October 17, Thursday, at 7:00 p.m.

The tale of Ben, an Irish 10-year-old boy, who learns that his silent sister Saoirse is a selkie and must save faerie beings from the Celtic goddess Macha.

Chicken Run (2020)

October 18, Friday, at 7:00 p.m. 

When their owners seek to convert them into chicken pies, a bunch of British anthropomorphic chickens view an American rooster as their only chance to leave the farm.

Spirited Away (2001)

October 19, Saturday, at 7:00 p.m. 

The Japanese animated film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, follows 10-year-old Chihiro as she ventures into the realm of kami, or the spirits of Japanese Shinto legend.
