According to a recent study that examined connectivity speeds around the globe, the Middle East has the fastest.
Doha, Qatar, is the first of four Middle Eastern cities with the highest mobile internet connections, according to a survey by Holafly, a company that provides eSIM cards for mobile phones. The study used data from Speedtest by Ookla, which gathers data from millions of people globally, to determine how long it will take to download a one-gigabyte city map in 95 cities in August 2024.
The study found that a map of Doha took 2.9 seconds to download at 354.5 megabits per second. In Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the download took 2.9 seconds, which was a little longer. At 3.1 seconds, Abu Dhabi, another city in the United Arab Emirates, comes in third place, followed by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at 3.7 seconds.
