Eighth edition of S'hail attracts hunting enthusiasts and falconry lovers from Qatar and abroad

Hunting enthusiasts and those who enjoy falconry from Qatar and other countries continue to flock to the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, S'hail 2024. The show, now in its ninth edition, has made a name for itself as a premier gathering place in the Gulf and the Middle East, providing a unique hunting and falconry experience.

Today, a number of state-accredited ambassadors, dignitaries, and officials attended the show.

Mohammed bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, vice chairman of the organizing committee for the displays, told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that S'hail is now a top destination for both traditional and contemporary hunters.

This year, 171 firms from 19 countries—Poland, China, and Australia—are participating in the expo for the first time.

This large turnout is indicative of the exhibition's significance in promoting technical innovation and ongoing progress in falconry and hunting, which is in response to the growing demand for these pursuits.

S'hail is a major factor in bolstering the regional economy since it draws in both domestic and foreign businesses, generates employment opportunities, and increases trade with Qatar.

In addition, the exposition gives regional vendors and producers a stage on which to present their goods and services, raising awareness of Qatari exports.

Children aged 10 to 16 had the opportunity to enter two raffles on the second day to win unique falcons.

Additionally, S'hail 2024 gives environmental sustainability a high priority. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is one of the participants, and its goal is to inform guests about its offerings, particularly those concerning nature reserves and wildlife.

The ministry's pavilion explains the steps involved in creating and breeding the Houbara bird and also promotes knowledge of hunting laws and the range of digital services it provides.
