EventOn Saturday, July 20, Doha residents are invited to a performance featuring a blend of Hindustani and Carnatic musical traditions called "Ganga Cauvery."
Ambi Subramaniam, who is regarded as the new king of Indian classical violin, will collaborate with Purbayan Chatterjee, the President of India Awardee and the country's foremost sitar master. The Pullman Doha Hotel's Al Thuraya Ball Room will host the Beats and Tunes Events event, which starts at 6:00 p.m.
Leading the band "Classicool," Purbayan specialised in creating connections between many global genres. He is well-known worldwide and has numerous successful foreign albums to his name that have topped the charts. He has participated in several foreign festivals, such as the Traumzeit Festival in Germany, the OzAsia Festival in Australia, and the renowned Roskilde Festival in Denmark. He has also played at all the renowned festivals in India.
Among the honours bestowed upon him are the Ritz Icon of the Year Award, the Rotary Youth Award, two Global Indian Music Awards, and a listing on Gentlemen's Quarterly's (GQ) 2021 list of the 25 Most Influential Young Indians.
