Expo 2023 Doha, the Middle East's largest horticulture show, is getting ready to welcome the globe to Qatar's shores. According to Expo 2023 Doha's Director of International Coordination Department Khalid Al Sindi, all building work at the venue at Al Bidda Park has already been completed and it will be available for guests by mid-September.
The exhibition will take place from October 2, 2023 until March 28, 2024.
A group from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the global organisation in charge of exhibition events, recently visited the exhibition headquarters and expressed satisfaction with the swift development.
Expo 2023 Doha just launched its volunteer scheme, allowing 2,200 individuals the opportunity to contribute to the event's success. Previously, planners released a full list of qualifying requirements, application processes, and expectations for anyone who wanted to volunteer for the event.
Several Qatar-based organisations have signed on to participate in the major event, with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport being the most recent to do so. Expo 2023 representatives in Doha also inked a cooperation agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council's General Secretariat at Qatar's Ministry of Municipality.
