FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022; integrated plans discussed in interview

Haya Platform CEO Saeed Ali Al Kuwari and Housing Department Director Omar Abdul Rahman Al Jaber gave an exclusive interview to Al Raya daily, sharing insights on the benefits, accommodations and progress of the Haya Card. The upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ plans to give football fans a unique experience.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has launched the "Digital Haya Card" programme, which acts as a special permit for entry. The card includes amazing features provided by its smart application. That being said, it is also true that this has become a concern for many who are willing to apply for it as the questions circulate. Saeed Ali Al-Kuwari sheds light on every detail about the distinctive experience that the Haya Card provides. As the day of the mega event draws nearer, fan inquiries are duplicated regarding the procedures to be followed that can make the matches a worthwhile experience.

To ensure a smooth experience and enjoy the World Cup matches, fans should first purchase tickets and then apply for a Digital Haya Pass. Applicants must ensure that the data provided during the registration process is correct to receive the application. A clear personal photograph must be used in accordance with the required specifications to ensure compliance with all criteria for obtaining the card. Confirmation of accommodation reservations can be done through official accommodation platform or online booking platforms. Those wishing to host friends and relatives who hold tickets to the tournament can do so seamlessly. The host needs to log in to their Haya Card account and fill in the guest data and their stay details to update it automatically.

Ticket holders are invited to select their accommodation from the various options available on the host country's accommodation portal and apply for a HAYA card that provides them with a range of benefits and services. The Digital Haya Card is mainly available electronically, if it is available in its printed version by delivery or through one of the authorized centers for collection in Qatar. There is no application fee for Digital Haya Card. Citizens and residents of GCC countries are required to apply for the card if they intend to visit Qatar between 1 November 2022 and 23 December 2022. Haya Service Centers will serve World Cup fans for all their technical needs and respond to queries.

Omar Abdul Rahman Al-Jaber gave a comprehensive talk about the accommodations where the Supreme Committee has worked diligently to provide different accommodations including villas, apartments, fan villages, floating hotels and holiday homes. They are fully equipped from three to five star categories.

As of 18th August 2022, nearly 428,000 reservations for hotel nights have been recorded on the official accommodation platform website, and the seventh day of the same tournament on 26 November 2022 was the peak time for reservations. Confirmed reservations also exceeded 60% in the group stage.
